Bigo’s work focuses on moments when the audience shifts from observer to participant, and perception begins to reorganize through bodily contact. Treating the audience’s body as the primary medium, she creates installations in which instruction, material, and spatial conditions guide viewers into direct contact with objects and surfaces. Through these embodied actions—rather than acts of observation—perceptual transformation occurs, revealing unstable boundaries between subject and object, where the body becomes both one’s own and strangely unfamiliar.Recent solo exhibitions include Splint (2024, Onsu Gong-Gan), Omni-presence (2018, ONE AND J.+1), and Wishy-Washy Bodies (2017, Centre A, Vancouver). Group exhibitions include SongEun Art Award Exhibition (2025, SongEun), Pounding Heart (2023, This Is Not a Church), SangSangHwaHwa: Wildflowers (2023, Kimhongdo Art Museum), Iridescent (2022, MMCA Goyang Residency), and Perform 2019: Link in-out (2019, Ilmin Museum of Art). She has also presented performances such as TRACERS 2 (2020, Platform-L) and A Score for Hands (2019, Weekend).
